Each bottle cap magnet is created with a cap that was donated by generous, craft beer loving friends and some dents or scratches will be on the surface of the magnets. Patricia Beaver, Four Diamonds Mother and Hope Express Runner, has been nominated to run for Woman of the Year, benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Please join her in supporting LLS by making a donation to her fundraising campaign to become Central PA's Woman of the Year. Every dollar raised counts as one vote, and the female candidate with the most votes is honored as Woman of the Year. Together, our efforts will help fund the research, therapies and treatments that help save lives today.
Patricia's youngest child, Dustin, was diagnosed on December 23, 2010 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the very young age of 11. Currently, he is celebrating 3 years in remission and has less then 5 months of maintenance treatment left. Team Dustin is WINNING, thanks in part to the work of LLS.
LLS Man and Woman of the Year Campaign is the only fundraiser that LLS does where the money stays LOCAL! Patty's personal goal is to raise $50,000, which will give her the privilege of naming a research grant in HONOR of Dustin and she can designate which type of cancer she wants the Grant to fund. She said she would choose Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L.) - and IT WOULD ALL BE LOCAL!
During this campaign, ending April 10, 2014, the money Patricia's committee raises, will go directly to LLS, in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Dustin has a quality life because of the research that has been done in the past. Without research, Dustin’s journey could be horribly different….but it’s not!
With your support of a tax-deductible donation, LLS can continue funding critical research in the fight against blood cancers, as well as provide outstanding patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services.
